So its been a good minute since the last time I posted about the ongoings of my personal life. And I realize to be a "good blogger" I need to keep these posts up to date. Allow me to write the reader's digest version and simply expand later so we're at least all on the same page.
1. Love Life:
Things have been going pretty great in this department. I met Kyle Laureano last year in August at my first homo krew party and we dated until November 11th when he asked me to be his girlfriend. So far its been a wonderful 6 month with him. We've had our share of rides on the relationship roller coaster, but we both love eachother and know that love will conquer any obstacle. He is a wonderful man that inspires me to be whatever and do whatever my heart leads me to. We love to meditate together, watch movies, hang out with our friends (especially the homo krew), cook together, explore the outdoors, and I love that I can always talk about spirituality, philosophy, and culture with complete ease and understanding.
Definitely more on him later. And pics ;)
2. Work Life:
I still work as the administrator at Earth Spirit Center for Healing in Queen Creek. I love my job. Its my zen zone and (one of) my creative outlets. We're constantly expanding and reinventing and furthering our cause. The best part is that I work for my best friend and childhood playmate, Kyle Hutchinson. He is my ray of sunshine and spiritual inspiration and the voice of reason in my life. Its a beautiful way to earn paychecks and I don't think I'll ever quit. :)
3. Home Life:
I live at home still. I'm planning on moving back out to Tempe in April though to be near school (I'm enrolling at SWIHA). Living with 4 of my friends will be so amazingly fun and such a great life experience.

Design Munchies
So cute! There is no explanation needed as to why I like this.
I'm not sure what this originally was or what it was used for and where.. but I like it.
This would look so perfect strung with:
Totally fell in love with white as a kitchen color, but the pops of vibrant blues and reds really complete a vintage kitchen in my opinion. Even the stove has matching nobs!
This set-up is perfect for my little guest bedroom nook.
I've always been drawn to wooden flooring and red brick walls. But the lights and cluster of frames caught my eye on this one.. And the huge, lovely, loft window letting in all that gorgeous lighting.. *sigh* beautiful.
I love this large unit filled with tiny cubby-holes. Unlimited possibilities! I can picture myself filling this with wine bottles, vintage napkins, my collection of teacups, spices, and other small but decorative pieces from my own kitchen. :) Also digging the cookbooks and mixing bowls on the top.

This would look so perfect strung with:
- silk garlands of greenery (ivy maybe)
- string lights
- nature-inspired bedding
Because let me ask you this... Who WOULDN'T want to sleep in a magical forest bed?? Also, I'm thinking this would be perfect for Beltain ;)

3. Repurposed, industrial-looking coffee table.
Love it.

The Many Faces (and pets) of Tora
Celebrating a new year is about celebrating change and growth and progression.. (at least it is for me). So I was reflecting on the years gone by and how much I've changed inwardly. Then I remembered that I've been changing on the outside as well. Here are the pics to prove it:

New Year's Resolutions
Its that time again!
My resolutions for the year 2011 is divided up into three categories. Body, Mind, & Spirit. Because if you think about it, if you're going to resolve to make major changes in your life, then you might as well make sure you're not neglecting an area of your life. Or at least thats what I thought :)
1. Body:
Quit Smoking.
Cigarettes are just so bad for me. I know this, everyone knows this. I don't need them in my life and they're just an unnecessary expense that my health pays for.
Eat More Mindfully.
No more junk food binges or late night munchie runs. I'm done with McMystery meat and sugar and processed crap and chemicals tossing my body into a confusion. I want to start eating foods closer to their raw form, possibly cutting out all processed foods altogether. Cupcakes and my other baked goods are always excluded from diets though of course. :P
Treat myself more often.
I hardly ever go out and do something nice for myself. Shopping, manicures, massages, haircuts, etc. I'd like to devote a small percentage of my income to pampering myself every now and then when I feel like I've earned it.
2. Mind:
I think I like the idea of devoting each month of year 2011 to a different book I've been interested in but "never had the time" to actually read.
Go back to school.
SWIHA in Tempe sounds good. I'd love to go for some fun, educational classes. Or even a community college for some basic non-electives. Something like that. Not really the MOST important thing to me.
Blog More.
I miss my blog.. I miss sharing my adventures and thoughts in this public scrapbook called Blogger.
3. Spirit:
Move out.by the time I turn 21 in October. This is realistic.. so long as I budget correctly, SAVE, and I manage to find as many roommates as I need, when I need them. Having my own place has been my dream since I was 16. Its a lot of expenses, I know.. But my my wings have been spread too far for this nest for a while now. Hopefully in 2011 I can get it right finally. This is probably the most important resolution to me. So I might have to get another job to make it happen.
Create my sanctuary and spend time in it.
I need a space or area in my home where I can relax, drink tea, burn incense, play spiritual music and simply read or meditate.
