Rubbish & Recycled

These are photos from a photoshoot I did about a month ago that were in the pile to throw out because they didn't turn out perfectly, but I decided to not let them go to waste without messing around a bit on them. So here are the results... I hope you like them somewhat, like I do.

I just love this photo. Its Tia Fox. LA baby!

Oh Barrettes.

Well.. That much is obvious. lol

T-shirt Designs

They're from photos I took in March (i think). I stylized them a bit, but this is basically it. I was going to try to make stencils out of them and use spraypaint to put the designs on shirts, but then it wasn't working and I got frustrated and gave up for this week. Maybe next week I'll attempt it again and have a shirt or two to show off!

P.S. - I think the one on top turned out better..

The Weekend

Hanging out with Bailey Roberts. Coolest cat around. Rocket scientist level of genius too.

We donned face paint before heading to the nearest walmart to "join the freak show".

Julie Burns holding a wood chip with John Burns and Ross Palmer swinging.

Travis Vallence. This kid is the cutest lil plaid bug ever. We have awesome dance sessions in the "Travis-mobile" AKA the white jeep.

Bailey

Bailey has been one of the coolest friends in my life to date. And when I say cool, I mean: interesting, funny, intellectual, bright, handsome, fun to be around, stylish, and did I mention INTERESTING. In the best of ways though. Truly.
I took this picture of him when we first met two years ago in high school. Also he was the only kid in the school (or person, for that matter) that could grow back that 5 o'clock shadow by second period. Amazing. hahaha Oh and he campaigned for school president using a Russian accent, fake bodyguards, and CCCP/KGB imitation posters. And he won. So in my books, Bailey is one of like, the coolest people I have ever met. Never a dull moment. Also he's a rocket scientist and a genius. No joke. Its the whole package. haha So ladies... ... .... lol jk. :P

Scorpions and Wombs!!

Shortly following the last post, I captured the scorpion and it now sits in a jar on the kitchen table.

Also I need to not drink anything with caffeine in it after 7 PM.
It sends my brain into a frenzy and I have to pee every 5 minutes. haha
Kinda like Rae now that she's pregnant. Although I'm not scary and pissy and "dying" all the time. :P
You know I love you Rae.. :D

Thought I'd post a cute update on the Bradshaw's baby bump. :]
I'm so happy for them..
Someday it'll be my turn to carry the living proof of my love and dedication towards my husband inside of my womb.. I can't wait. :]

New Project

"Of all the diseases on earth, sin is the most contagious, the most repulsive, and the most fatal."

I think thats going to go on one of my t-shirts I'm designing.
So far I've taken 3 photos from my collection and sketched them into stencils.
Now I just need to blow them up to a larger size and turn them into cardboard cut-outs. After that I'll use spray paint to stencil the outline of the images onto the shirts. THEN I'll just add in the touches of color.

Hmm... still need to figure out how to get the writing onto the shirts.. Maybe fabric paint and pre-made stencils.. Maybe just by hand. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it I suppose.

OH! if I figure out how to use the scanner, I'll let you take a peek at the designs I've come up with.

SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!!
SCORPION!!!!! ITS TINY!!! (AND IF YOU'RE FROM AZ, YOU KNOW THOSE ARE THE WORST KIND TO FIND!!!!)

AAAAAHHHHHHGGGG!!!!!!!! TWINKIE!!!!! SAVE ME!!!!!

Bibles, God & Mt. Dew at 2AM

Last night i felt compelled to connect with God somehow.. I thought about cracking open my Bible but couldn't for the life of me think of where to even start. Somehow, when you're out of touch with God or you haven't been reading your Bible on a regular basis, it seems like the most difficult task in the world to just pick it up and start reading. I know there's some great books in there and chapters that i've read over and over because of how they speak to my heart, but for some reason, the Bible seemed like a brick wall that i didn't have the tools to scale it with. It even seemed ridiculous and pointless to even attempt it.
So i ended up praying instead. What do i pray about? Well i don't know really.. a mix of random things and typical things I assume..
I prayed that God would make me into the woman that would make a perfect mate with whomever I'm destined to marry.
I thanked God for a comfortable bed to sleep in and people that care about me.
I prayed that He would bring me closer to him and give me knowledge and wisdom.
I prayed that He would help me to be pure and good, but when I mess up, to give me a repentant heart.
I prayed that He would especially help me to lose all remaining bitterness and to help me see those people through His eyes. And that if there was to be justice, that I would be at peace and know that God is the punisher of evil, not me. haha :]   (jk?)

---- REVELATION ----
i should just be kind to all of my enemies, like the Bible says!
Then it'll be like "heaping hot coals upon their heads"
I don't know what they quite meant by that.. and how literal/figurative/metaphorical that is... but I like it. muaha!

ooohhh boy. I think that last part means I still need to work on forgiveness and bitterness.
Bummer. haha :]

Marks of the True Christian

Marks of the True Christian

9 Let love be genuine.
Abhor what is evil;
hold fast to what is good.
10 Love one another with brotherly affection.
Outdo one another in showing honor.
11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit,
[7] serve the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope,
be patient in tribulation,
be constant in prayer.
13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
16 Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.
[8] Never be wise in your own sight.
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it [9] to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This was on my friend, Kevin's, blog.
And while reading it, it really just spoke to me. (and by 'it', i mean God). So i decided to share it with you all. I think that not only is this an excellent example of what a Christian should strive for in their life, its also a guide to help us see the wolves in sheep's clothing. And seeing as how my life has been overrun by the wolves, I'm especially glad I came across this Bible passage. Hopefully i'll have the courage to call people out (in a totally loving way) if they claim to be a Christian.. I know i'm not perfect though, so God help me from passing judgement on anybody.

Today has been a great day. And it's really helped me to see how blessed I am. God is truly great. I'm so glad I don't have all the answers, and I'm so glad that God doesn't answer all my qeustions with answers. Sometimes He just shows you that your question really isn't the most important thing or that you're better off NOT knowing the answer. I like that about Him. :)
But back to today!
My mom bleached my roots and we talked about mother/ daughter things. It was nice.. Then she let me drive to work and I did great! I really did. When we got to The Coffee Shop, we had 15 minutes before my shift so we got veggie quiche and iced pom tea (my favorites!). And at work, Angela and I made some cookies and I actually think I'm starting to get the hang of it. :) which is GREAT because I really really love my job here.
After work I got some leftover cupcakes and cookie dough and I'm saving it for dad and Papa when they come to get me. When they do finally get here, we're going to go pick up a cord for that camera so I can FINALLY download those pictures off the camera.
So once all that is done and I've edited them to my liking, then I'll post some up here for you Scott MacIntyre fans and I'm going to print off a couple hundred photos for the walls of my room since Scott said he's always "dreamed of the day when he would be worthy of being on my wall".

Peace!

To all the fans out there...

Dear Public,

I'm flattered if you read my blog. I truly am.. But DO NOT assume that you know me just from reading my blogs. And to think that you have any right whatsoever to JUDGE me based on my blogs, is complete bull. I could care less what you think you need to say to me, but sharing your judgements and assumptions with the people I love is unacceptable.
